“We were scheduled to play 3 days earlier but this was postponed because of a football final on tv. My connection was fine all that day.
From my perspective I don't know if it was myself or malthor who dropped out the first time or when we had to reload near half time. It certainly looked like I was still connected from my end, I was online and hadn't got any messages to indicate otherwise but that's neither here nor there.
The DP skink who was rubbed out of the game was also my second SS/DT.
The replay is fine from the restart after the first score, missed are the 4 fouls before that putting a mng and 2 KOs on the lizards in the first half (and also resulting in two send offs) and a fairly even match to that point.
I don't know about far superior players, I have two great skinks, the rest of the team is fairly ordinary. Add in the two handicaps and while I agree the lizards were still at something of an advantage, it wasn't nearly as great as implied.
The main difference in the end was that while the lizards didn't really attempt any spectacular plays (well except for the attempted hand off to a saurus in the first half), they didn't fail any basic ones either (yes, this is in no small part down to the luck of the dice). Ball handling and dodging was near perfect from the little skinks though on the flip side, 48 blocks were made with no discernible impact. The elves got the highs and the lows, the skinks were granted the middle ground and therein lay the victory.
I was fortunate enough to avoid the snake eyes this time round, I'm expecting nuffle to make the lizards pay next round against the woodies.
On a final note, the game was slow overall, not just from my side of the board. I knew that nuffle could turn on me at any time so I didn't want to risk leaving any opening I could see and when I could see 2 or 3 while knowing that elves on their day could run riot it took me a little while to decide which option I had to shut down first.
On a brighter note, Twahnlow voting:
3 Points: #1 Hatred. Will be even more annoying when he gets dodge.
2 Points: #3 Torture. Consistent hitting though little reward
1 Point: #7 Blackheart. Nice long pass in the final turn to try and grab a consolation td, unfortunately continuing the second half theme Bloodlust just couldn't finish it off.”
“SWL Conference Game
My opponent had several connection problems and we had to restart after I got It Wasn't Me (on a Saurus) and Doom and Gloom.
After about 5 restarts we settled on It Wasn't Me (on a DP Skink) and Extra Training for me as close enough to the original.
The luck meter is wrong as my opponent dropped out again after 6 turns. Not sure if the replay works.
Anyway, a farce of a game. My opponent had far superior players than me so I didn't have many options on defence, but I did eventually force a score on Turn 6 when I made a 5+ Dodge.
After that it was all rubbish. 34% luck for 10 turns says a lot.
Two turn offence earnt a snake-eyes plus stun leaving not enough players to threaten a score.
Second half was more ones and ones ane ones (why else the 34%?). I RR was used to buy a Pow and then a one was rolled on the ball handling.
My opponent makes a few rolls and then a 4+ pick up and 3+ dodge to get the ball.
My turn, snakes on the dodge. 0-2.
Next turn. I set up an offence down one wing. I need a push on two dice (easy), 2+ dodge to get a 2+ hand off to an AG5 player. From there it would be 2 dice blitz needing a push (or a 2+ dodge) to set up an easy 2+ 2+ TD.
My dodge? A 1. So then the two dice blitz was double Skull/Pows and I fall.
My opponent gets a 3+ pick up and pushes deep. Also a few GFIs. My turn, a 2+ dodge =1. Rerolled. Next roll, a 1 and BH.
0-3.
Only highlight for my team was a desperation long bomb at the end of the game to get a possible TD. Make the pass and 2+ catch. Just two more 2+s for a score.... and of course another 1.
Anyway, was a very unenjoyable game as the dice were one sided and my opponent was very slow, often taking a few minutes to move just 2-3 players, however the majority of his turns were under 4 minutes. Just seemed to take an in-ordinate amount of time to move sometimes.
Anyways, it is finished and time to move on.

Addendum
Of course your team has far superior players. Those Skinks are match winners against a low TR team like mine without Tackle. Plus your 1-3 skill Sauruses.
Anyways, onto Twahnlows which is the reason I am editing this report.

1: Rthsy (threw the most blocks, but I guess the others were getting gangfouled so couldn't do more blocking heh)”
