The sporting public must have thought something was on as they turned up in record numbers for a Duskriders match. Sadly the Riders failed to live up to the expectations despite playing reasonably well. The game starting promisingly enough knocking out the dangerous Matt Tinsen in the first turn. He stayed in the locker room for most to the remainder of the match. A failed leap going for the TD by Kaiser Wilhelm turned over possession and we thought we were in with a chance. Sadly, while Symm's luck was a bit shaky thru the match, particularly early on, it held strong when it really mattered. After dispossessing the ball carrier 3 times on single dice blocks, the rats finally secured the ball and scored.
They promptly scored from a blitz from the kick off, Kaiser Wilhelm freakishly surviving Deathmoth's 3 dice block, rerolled, while in possession.
Down 2-0 at half time the match went predictably from there scoring tit-for-tat thanks to some good throwing from Strongarm. Matt Tinsen came back right at the end for a cameo casualty.
In the end an annoying result for the Duskriders who probably did enough for a draw but failed some crucial blitzes despite favourable odds.

3 Points. Kaiser Wilhelm. Despite fluffing his first scoring opportunity he didn't do any else wrong in the match. We rarely could take him to ground and he was the go to man for the Vermin whenever they needed a touchdown despite the close marking we tried to close him down with.
2 Points Manfred von Richthofen. Usual passing display but also tellingly his was the third and final blitz on the Riders in possession that finally re-secured the ball for the Vermin and he was able to survive the return blitz to score.
1 Point. Albert Speer. Responsible for two successful 1 dice blitzes on ball carriers in the first half that meant we weren't able to take advanatage of the early turnover.
