Despite the Rangers starting the match apparently in low spirits and conceding the first TD the gloom and doom had lifted following what must have been an inspirational half time team talk from now legendary coach Hepworthnot.
Something had obviously upset the Rangers because they were hitting tackles and knocking the stuffing out of the Demons. With two players unable to take the field (and one learning the real meaning of Hip Op) due to injury it was clear the Demons had lost all appetite for the match. The ferocious takling of the Wood Elves, yes sports fans, Wood Elves, was too much for Demons.
Dionea was MVP with two characteristic TDs but he got the hair dryer treatment from Hepworthnot after trying to pick up the ball and score in the Demons end zone in the final play of the match whilst simultaneously performing a triple back sumersault with twist and pike. He dropped the ball and missed the chance of his first professional hattrick.
Hepworthnot said Dionea's display had taken the edge off the win. It was disrespectful to the Demons and "that fine coach Creekmoor". We are currently checking if there is another coach called Creekmoor who he must have been referring to and we will let you know as soon as we find out.
