This was a tough game from the get go. It seemed that all the kick-offs (Blitz, Get the Ref, etc) were against me. Let's not count the skulls either.

I was lucky in spurts though. I was able to tie it up at the half after a fumbled rat pass. My 3rd TD was a turn 16'er to pull the draw. I thought I would delay a turn with Frank Sinatrar. He gets blitzed and knocked down. The fans threw the ball directly to a waiting blitzer 6 squares away. How nice of them.

The draw was nice. (In Yo FACE BillBrasky!) I tied up his claw tackler with "Duh, Where am I" and then a BH. He disappeared my tacklers with his DP. Booooooooooooooooooooo.

When will my FF go up? My poor elves are about to start begging in the Underdark for money and gems.

To make a long story short... It was a failure to "rat up" in this game that got Bill Brasky the draw. Even with the better team and all the lucky kickoffs, it still wasn't enough to defeat the Wino Whiners. Even though this game doubled the amount of Serious Injuries we've suffered since this team's creation... The Furballs weren't quite drunk enough.

This was a lucky game for the Whiners. In general, the fans were rooting for the Furballs (on the kickoffs), but 3 extremely lucky incidents allowed the Whiners to score. Can't say the Whiners used great strategy. Lots of attempted 1d blocks yielded skulls, but they certainly had the luck where it counted, allowing them to score.

The best was:

The Furballs blitzed the undefended ball carrier on t16, and the ball was thrown in by fans to an elf, who caught it and was in scoring range, as opposed to the furballs who had players ready to retrieve the ball, pass & had a gutter ready to score.

So goes luck.

It seems nuffle has favored these Wino Whiners this season.

Way to go Hark130!
