“In a brutal opening game the Fury won not through skill but through liberal application of fury. A rooted tree in turn 1 and an early crowdpush RIPset the tone of the game with Srubs suffering regular visits to the Emergency Room and KO box. The Fury were able to gind slowly up the pitch from the opening kick and made the run when things were getting tight.
With a depleated team the Scrubs were unable to handly the ball (more 1s) and their attack broke down before the whistle and suffered additional attrition.
A the start of the second half a *get the ref* result was all the Fury needed to stick the boot in with the first resulting in a BH. The Scrubs were eventually broken down and the Fury eventually remembered the ball and wondered down the pitch and scored. At the end of the game the Scrubs were down to a surrounded, felled tree and a plucky lineelf who gave the Fury a final turn scare by BHing a player. Lesson learned the Fury invested in an apothacary and decided that not fouling the Tree whilst surrounded, despite how tempting it was, would pay them back as it could give their future opponents headaches.
The Scrubs are down, but not out. The Fury are off to a bloody start.”
