“The Flashgitz turned up to the first game of the FUMBBL Cup V knowing that it would be an easy victory against a rather bashy Chaos team. A statement that turned out to be true. They were confident that their heavier armour and MBs would be able to match the weaker Chaos armour and claw combo but there they struck out big time. Bash wise they were dominated in the game and suffering multiple av breaks each turn. Luckily they won the positioning battle and the hired wizzard could make short work of the chaos offence. Serious trouble with handling the ball delayed the toutchdown to the last turn and was almost twarted by a botched FA roll but fortunatly Zarskin was able to dodge the winner in. Second half should have been easy scoring but loosing a couple of players early to blocks and referee evictions made it hard to protect the ball. The Flashgitz then decided to protect their lead on made so fairly well even though Nuffle did his best to twarth it with unfortunate scatters and bad placed 1s made it a nailbiter to the bitter end. But the Flashgitz made it, as expected.

Next round probably means Smess and his Stormriders tribe. Being the only other team in this qualifier group to prepare well for it (having a good purse and thus be able to pay for an advantagde) and I being a BOB short and getting minimum money probably means that he will become to big an hinderence for our desire to qualify for the main CUP... ”
