“In their third game, the Mancunians were on a high after winning their first game, but were soon brought back to reality after a convincing drive by the Barbar Queens. The Amazon catcher Irene showed what she was made of with an easy graceful dodge and a final sprint for the line.
After their rude awakening, the Mancunians were caught out again with a blitz, but through some luck, lobbed the ball up field for a touchdown from Harold Hardman. Ricky Hatton also showed Barbar Queen Lisa his iron fist, badly hurting her. This left the scores at 1-1, but after a lucky break, Ian Brown showed what he was made of, holding up the play whilst under pressure from the Barbar Queen thrower, and running in the touchdown.
In the second half even more luck for the Mancunians ensued, with Amir Khan showing how his grace in the boxing ring could be transferred to bloodbowl and running in a touchdown after deftly avoiding a hail of blows.
The rest of the second half was a bit of a scrum, after Irene failed to recreate her first half antics falling flat on her face on an easy dodge.
The Manc of the Match Amir Khan was ecstatic with his performance saying that it was nice to have some of the glory for a change, after all, the catchers usually hog all of the touchdowns. Coach PandaPower said that he was happy with the result, although he admitted to making a number of silly coaching decisions, for example letting Amir Khan speak.”
