Well. In a game the Duskriders really needed to front up for, to make certain of staying in the top grade, they had arguably their worst outing of the season. A virus swept through the Carlton side leading up to the match, so despite being blotstered by the Vampire Count it left them with just 12 players and more importantly, no Duke. Sadly that was about all the luck we had. Our go to man, Strongarm, had a shocker failing at least three pickups and Carlton played better elfbowl than we did, dodging with more success and pulling off one passing play any elf team would be proud of that gave them the decisive TD.
Now the Duskriders fate depends on the Zen Adepts beating the Vermin in the last match of the season - a Vermin win will see the 'riders relegated :(
Twhanlows.
3 Points. Jake Fluttery. All three casualties. What more needs to be said.
2 Points. Nushko DeSilva. In the second half we finally managed to get the ball clear from the Carlton defence. With the ball on the ground and 3 or 4 Duskriders within reach, we looked odds on for a game winning TD. The only Carlton player who could get the ball, DeSilva stole it from under our noses, passed it cleanly to a waiting support player who promptly scamper downfield to break our hearts.
1 Point. Count VonDrakenburg. Not sure if you can give Twahnlows to stars but there is no denying he had a huge effect on outcome of the match. Without him the result may well have been different.
All-in-all a excellent impression of choking by the Riders. Lets hope they don't pay the ultimate price for it.

Combined with Darkblood to set up a string of violent blocks, including one that knocked the ball from the counts vampiric hands, at the opening of the second half that put good pressure on an otherwise confident Carlton which almost lead to the Sinners equalising. Solid blocking all game.

Put in a solid effort to prevent the half time opening score from Carlton before Handy Andy combined his Touchdown with a surf of this impetuous Darkie.

For the score, though it was an easy one for him...”
