They started in offence, but had a Ghoul KO'd by a thrown rock. However, they KO'd a Mummy with a block and a foul removed a Zombie from the pitch as well (Regenerated).
The Cadavers kept the ball back with their Werewolf as they continued to get the better luck with the blocks and a few more fouls saw a Cult Ghoul badly hurt and their Mummy stunned before the ref finally had enough and sent the Cadavers Zombie off.
The Cadavers offence almost came undone when their sleep deprived coach did a one dice block thinking it was two dice and came up with a Skull/Pow but luckily the reroll came up with a Pow (needed a push).
The Cadavers delayed scoring until the end of the half and took a 1-0 lead just before the big break. The Cult had a T8 kick off, and after the fan from both sides stormed the pitch and killed the ref, fouled Anton Ulrich out of hte game (Badly Hurt).
Second half the Cult started in offence with both teams short of 11 players (I think we had 9 apiece).
Bad luck continued to plague the Cult as their ball carrying Ghoul failed a 3+ Dodge (1 in 9 chance) and the ball spilt free. The Cadavers surged onto the ball and with superior field position (Mummies in TZs) were able to get a better look at the ball and they eventually recovered it to take an insurmountable 2-0 lead with just 2 turns left in the game.

What a luckfest. I can't say that I outplayed torsoboy because the dice did not give him much of a chance to do anything. I had no crucial failures all match whereas he had many 1s on GFIs and possibly a few snake-eye failures as well. Even in the one dice block Dept, I got more Pows than Skulls (though I did not throw a lot of one dicers).
I played well enough to maintain the advantage that luck delivered me, except for that boneheaded one dice Block with my Ghoul...
Anyways, will have to bring my best game next time as my opponent is a very good coach who will punish me hard if I make mistakes in a more even game luckwise.
Better luck to you next time torsoboy, just not against me :D”
“Sometimes you lose no matter what, and this was such a game. I suppose some of my best teams have had rough starts... although few start out by dealing out 5/0/0 casualties and receiving 2/4/2 casualties. :D
My theory that fouling without DP is a waste of time goes out of the door after this match. Fouling with the eye four times and the ref spots once! In any case, I'll be looking forward to a rematch which I hope to be more exciting than this one.
Thanks Malthor and til the next time!”
