“A really enjoyable match, against a great opponent that could have gone either way.

Don should probably have stalled rather than scoring in the middle of the 1st half as it allowed me to sneak a TD in turn 8 to level the match.
So I'd say him winning is a very fair result as he played better than me too.

Still the game was a lot more fun because of it and I was glad to meet another player who shares my philosophy that a fun lost or drawn game is better than a boring won game.

I made some silly mistakes in the 2nd half that reulted in me making 1D blocks that caused turnovers, though it was catching as he made a couple of errors too.

It seems the chaos dwarfs decided to help me with my quest and with 3 players missing the next game I'll have more luck finding games against the less common bashy teams.

I've decided to take a risk and buy another beast rather than an apoth as I only need 40K in the next game to buy 1 and hopefully with 9 players rather than 8 I'll get hit a bit less. Just so long as the Chaos warrior survives I should be fine.....
though saying that means he'll probably die in turn 1 in my next game.

I'll be keeping an eye out for DonTomaso in or once i've played another 10+ games in [R] for a re-match as he's a great guy to play against, and of course i'll be wanting to try and beat him next time.”
