Fairly early into the game it became apparent that the Miami Blood Team's high quantity of Mighty Blow players was going to make things very interesting. Håland, an emerging star for the Skyreachers was tragically cut down during the first half, seriously denting the Reachers' morale.
The Skyreachers made the breakthrough near the end of the first half when witch elf Arachne skipped past the Norse to score. After the kick off it was much the same, players were getting badly hurt all over the place and in the confusion the Norse scored the equalizer. The Skyreachers quickly broke back, driving down the flank but were swiftly outnumbered and lost the ball. The Norse took the ball to the endzone and stalled for time. Venting his frustration, Skyreacher captain Haddon squared off against the opposing team's minotaur and shoulder barged him in the neck, crushing his throat and killing him outright.
The Dark Elf team managed to get to the endzone and dispossessed the carrier but were outnumbered and quickly beaten down. After that it was a matter of course for the Norse to score in the dying seconds.”
