Yes indeed Sports Fans, History, as predicted, was most definitely made at the spanking new AFC Svalbard Stadium, in the far Up North last night. With his newest team, Coach Creekmoor finally notched up his first win against his evil nemesis, Hepworthnot. Here are a few ways in which History was made......
- First time Creekmoor has scored more than once against Hepworthnot
- First time he has had a 2-goal lead.
- First time he hasn't lost after taking the lead
- First time he has won after taking the lead
- First time he has scored three times against Hepworthnot
- First time he has beaten Hepworthnot
- First time he has caused quite so much damage to the other players
- First time things have actually gone well luck-wise
Those last two points are very important. In recent matches, Creekmoor's players have taken a real battering, no matter which race they were pitted against. It really is very difficult indeed to play with a severely understrengh side - we know.
I suppose some critics will point to the fact that Hepworthnot was fielding a new Skaven team, and we know they are not the greatest. However, they still managed to cause damage, and Arnie now has a smashed knee that will probably trouble him for the rest of his playing days.
Still, at the end of the cliche, it was a first win for Creekmoor against Hepworthnot. It was always going to happen sooner or later (even if it was very definitely later). Still, this result might just send a few shock waves through the Blood Blow Community.
The big question is - can this become the foundation stone for a turnaround of fortunes for Coach Creekmoor? When asked questions by the rampant media, Creekmoor was clearly too emotional to speak. However, one of his backroom staff did speak to the press, and told them "He is over the moon".
