“A recovery match here for two embattled lizardman teams. Green Silence had suffered five deaths in as many matchs, and Tlaxtlan Swamp Dragons were missing three players to serious injuries in the previous match, so all hoped for a relatively non-violent match on this day.

The important stat of the day was the team breakdown - Green Silence had a krox, 5 saurii, and 4 skinks, against a krox, 3 saurii, and 6 skinks. The Saurii advantage for Green Silence gave us a serious hitting edge throughout the match.

Green Silence got off to a quick start, blitzing the opening kickoff. Green Silence tied up Tlaxtlan in a blocking battle, and scored the opening touchdown. On the next drive, Tehuctan Ironscale promptly double-skulled and knocked himself out, giving Green Silence another good chance to strike. After surrounding the ball with lizards, Green Silence scored another touchdown. And so the half went, and at halftime the score was 4-0.

A bad kick in the second half allowed Saurus Pythor to possess the ball. In an apparent change of roles, Pythor surrounded himself by protective skinks, and attempted to drive. Tlaxtlan resisted fiercely, but even without Kroxigor Krobahr, Green Silence steadily blocked their opponents out of the play, and Pythor eventually broke loose to score.

Nuffle was against Tlaxtlan - but there is one more match fact. No player on either side was killed or seriously injured, surely this makes both teams winners in this recovery match. Thanks for a nice game.
