“Anticipating a big game - and fielding the proper number of players - Green Silence was ready for this match. However, a pair of niggling injuries reduced that number to ten at game start. Lizards versus Lizards, clearly a hitting battle is at hand.

Ormahr received the kickoff, and held back while the huge saurii smashed and crashed into each other. Skinks caught up in the conflagration ended up lining the dugout, with casualties on both sides. Ormahr saw an opening and made a break through the line, but was tripped and spilled the ball at midfield. Skinks on both sides scrambled for the ball, but were smashed flat by the crowd of saurii. The half ended with Vrillik the Flame as the last skink standing, and the score 0-0.

Green Silence could only field 7 players for the second half, with Vrillik as the lone skink! Shlozchisshirr held the advantage with 9 players, and received the opening kickoff. Bvlopz prepared for a passing play, but was blitzed by Woggard the Crippler, who scooped up the loose ball! Woggard was promptly blitzed and dispossessed. Now, Shlozchisshirr tried their passing play, but misthrew the ball. The ball bounded down deep in Green Silence territory, as good as a punt!

Krobahr retreated to guard Vrillik, who took up the ball. Although outnumbered, stout blocking by Green Silence saurii held off Shlozchisshirr from Vrillik. Shlozchisshirr kroxigor Zchhillop tried to Go For It around the end to get to Vrillik, but slipped. Vrillik raced across to the wide open right side of the field, and scored.

Shlozchisshirr were unable to pick up the kickoff successfully, and time expired before they could equalize. A tough game for my opponent, suffering more injuries than might be expected due to poor dodging. Thanks for a hard-fought game.”
