“Game opens with a mysterious virus taking out 5 of his players, leaving only 9 to play the entire match. But boy did those 9 put up a whale of a fight! KO'd my troll in turn 2 for the entire match (yet he got MVP, go fig), along with ko'ing 6 or 7 others during the game. As only 2 ever woke up, this might have made me shorthanded. (More on that later.)

Tons of skulls (and more importantly, skull/pow) by my near-rookie black orcs, and the ball was going the other way! Only my thrower could save the day, stealing the ball back and surviving what must've been 15 dice of blocks by angry saurii before dodging away to throw downfield into the waiting arms of...a str5 saurus in a tz? Big lizard blitzes his way free to the endzone for the lone score of the first half, lizzies receiving.

Second half opens, blitz! Tie up all of his saurii, knock out his only tackle saurus, and now it's a blodging blitzer matching up vs two skinks. Skinks pluck the ball away anyway, but inexplicably handoff to a str5 saurus, who doesn't know what to do with the ball and drops it. Some clever blocking by the orcs lets us snatch up the ball, but there's still danger...right up until a saurus narrowly fails his dodge, MNG'ing himself in the process. This must've inspired my orcs, as in the next two turns enroute to the tying score we BH'd three and ko'd another couple.

When nobody returned from either team from the ko box, there were 11 orcs vs 3 lizards...two saurii and the krox. I stack the LOS so he's unable to free a lizard to run back to where the ball had landed oh-so-conveniently in the endzone. A few gfi's without rr's later, my agi4 blitzer scooped up the ball for his second score of the match, game over.

Tale of two halves...first half all lizards, second half all orcs. Were it not for that virus, guarantee we would not have won. Well played to jtcreds, he did all that could be asked of him.”
