“A fun and challenging game all around! I do seem to be having some sort of bad streak (perhaps a -curse-) about players taking heavy injuries ... between the two casualty-heavy Tigers games I just played, and the Norse game I played between them when literally half the team ended up hospitalized or dead. Ah well, Nuffle giveth and Nuffle taketh away, and all that.
In a stroke of luck, the guy who died this time was a freebooter! We wouldn't have been seeing him again anyway. Though in a stroke of cosmic justice, he appears to have made off with the skill points for our MVP award. I suppose that's only fair, after all. He's earned them. Rest in Peace, Rook Thorn, you never hit a roster so this is the only place your name will be remembered.
Quite a fun game, though! Chaos sure can shake up a formation. I don't think either of us really got a cage going very much, though the running game was pretty key.
Check in particular for my daring attempt at a last minute touchdown in the eighth turn of the second half. Boy, I capitalized the -hell- out of a thrown rock (go fans!) and a skull to rush way the hell down field and blitz the QB right into the end-zone ... then I failed the ball-handling skill to pick up the ball in the end-zone, and thus a win became a tie.
Nuffle giveth and Nuffle taketh away.”
