“Fumbbl Cup V, 1st round game.

JB got bribe the ref as a handicap and won the toss. He chose to receive and got a nice start as the second block of the game was a -ST serious injury on my BOB (apo failed). However, the turning point came soon as JB miscalculated and blocked my ST 5 BOB with only 1 dice. He got unlucky and the result was a skull rerolled to a skull causing a turnover in a bad situation.

I decided to use my wizard then and there, causing a casualty on a BOB and leaving the ball carrier open to blitzing. I got the ball loose, picked it up and handed off to my blitzer who started running towards the Butcher Boyz' end zone. JB had a small chance to blitz him next turn, but he failed one of his dodges and left me in an easy position to stall for the rest of the half.

I received to start the second half and managed to score on turn 3 after JB had spent a good portion of his team on fouling Morg to BH. JB then answered with a reasonably quick TD of his own, leaving him 3 turns to try to equalize.

On my next drive JB got a blitz!, but rolled two ones on two GFIs, allowing me to pick up the ball. He still managed to put enough pressure on my players and get the ball loose on turn 7, but the dice just weren't good enough for him to score anymore.

This was a very interesting game that remained close until the last second. The start with the apo failure did not look very good for me but in the end neither team managed to cause much damage. JB's apo saved his ST 4 blitzer and both our trolls regenerated from kills.
