“Nocturama suffers our second loss against difficult opposition in the form of coach Gatts' Genshiken team. It looked good from the start, as Morley's revenge took out 3 Chaos players. Nocturama recevied first and our score was easy against the outnumbered Chaos team, but Genshiken played well to prevent a stall. They also managed to score back before half-time, thanks too the heroics of Beastman Haraguchi. He could do nothing wrong all half, and his catch of the bouncing ball in two elf TZ enabled the score for 1-1.
Genshiken set up a classic cage play in the second half and scored easily in turn 5. With four turns left for Nocturama to equalize, it looked like a certain draw, and after our first offense turn went off exactly as planned, coach MadTias was confident. Genshiken (and Nuffle) had other plans however... The AG5 Beastman brought down the ball carrier, which was all right by Nocturama, because we still had control of that part of the field. But the supposedly easy recovery turned sour as Nuffle started handing out skulls and ones... Let's just say it wasn't pretty.
GG Gatts, well played. Preventing a stall in the first half won you the game, that was great clock management. See you around.”
