“A fairly evenly matched Jugganaut and El Diablo's Hobra lined up in opposition on the field on a strangely stormy day. The news rags had been full of criticism for black orc Murdokk who was progressing at a slower rate than his colleagues. This was further fuelled by an altercation with a female orc journalist who, rumour has it, actually won the fight which lasted as long as it took the pub to erupt into a giant brawl.
The look in Murdokk's eyes was a mixture of pain and determination with the El Diablo crowd chanting, "Beaten by a bitch!" He silenced the crowd quickly by ripping the innards out of the unfortunate flesh golem who had unwisely chosen to take on the antagonised black orc.
In the chaotic melee that followed, everybody but the referee saw Rusty stamp on Cementhead so hard that his head could not regenerate in time to take part in the rest of the match.
With their front line weakened, Coach Mulvax struggled to organise his attack and Jugganaut ploughed forwards until they eventually, after a bit of pass the parcel, managed to score through blitzer Smakk. The sun came out for the next play but there was not enough time for the Necromantic side to fashion a touchdown before the half was over.
No sooner had the teams lined up for the second half, the rain started to pour again. Still with dwindling numbers as Rusty fouled out another player and the Hobra's KO box filling rapidly, there was not enough power to break the orc attack down despite initial difficulties handling the ball. Lineman Gordon waltzed in a straightforward touchdown. There was not much time left on the clock but the rain stopped and a lightening attack from Coach Mulvax's side saw a consolation touchdown from Swifty the Werewolf.
After the match Coach Chainsaw denied he was the source of the rumour that Murdokk had been slapped about by a female orc journalist in a pub brawl. It turned out she was in fact one of the black orc's wives and they frequently hit each other in ritualistic fashion. This time the blocker was not paying attention and leant down as his wife tried to hit him, causing her to hit an unfortunate passer by and spark a mass brawl. His coach was heard later to say, "Now I know how to make him play good Blood Bowl!"”
