The one Treeman that was able to take to the pitch was soon swarmed but proved his toughness by withstanding multiple blocks per turn from the towering force of the Generals Mummies. In fact it was the Zombie Dick Ewell that managed to overturn the Treeman in the second half, ducking under its lumbering swing and then kicking it in the head when it fell over.
The All-Stars, their strongest player gone, were no match for the sheer brutality of the Generals front line with almost every hit resulting in a fling having to leave the pitch in agony. In fact on the last turn there was only 3 flings left on the pitch, and these were quickly disposed of by the Generals Mummies, R.E.Lee and U.S.Grant, with the Multiple Block skill of Lee proving to be instrumental in inflicting pain.
The best win in some time for the Generals although they were sorry to see the death of one of the small but honourable flings, with William.T.Sherman picking up the little guy and carrying him over to the All-Stars bench, asking if he could attend the funeral, although this was refused because he also asked if he could eat some of his skin.
All in all a good game for me, the All-Stars had no chance, especially with only one Treeman, and then he was gone and with blocking with 2 dice all the time it was rather easy. However the Flings did cause me some anxiety as they kept swerving and dodging out of huge masses of players, but still it was a win, and convincing.”
