First i was too much impressed by those nandorins, i feel myself shaking, and i didn't play my usual game. Even if i got two good handicaps (I Am the Greatest and a 5ag Strip ball leaper hit by Morley's).
And the start of the match was not helping moral. Even if i got a 2 early casualties (the second beeing apothicarized), a standart defence blocking the side, several KO, and bloger sneaking into my field. I was completly disoriented. Simples and usual moves got me. I couldnot get into a good position, as i feared too much the wizard. And i finally gave several blocks on my thrower. Luckily i kept the ball, but the mistake was still there. Moral down, shaking too much, i took this match too seriously. Managed to get the lead and they failed equalisation. All were good. I should came back into a normal stance. I didn't.
On the second half, they scored quickly. And i bounced into their defence, and got turned over. With those annoying player in the back field, he scored as he should have in the first half: easily. A blitz and some turn over from my point get him to 3-1. About 3 turns to play, i thank the only way to get a chance was oneturn touchdown. Failed. He went back for protecting the team, and the match was over.
Here is a list of mistakes:
- Fouling when i needed to cover the field, it give him a large way to enter the back field with annoying players.
- Getting impressed, and annoyed (muting emote helped a lot, i should have done it quicker). .
- Not evaluating the situations correctly.
- Defence startup were horrible. I didn't used the one i thank before,, nor the usual against elfs. Defence got crushed.
- His defence were good, and i feared (maybe too much) his sidesteppers on the sides.
- Not protecting the ball properly (in fact once i grouped skavens in the middle, i could get nowhere).
- Not using the right players during the defence, maybe offence too.
- Rerolling blitz when i got a push. The reroll must be used for ball handing.
- In fact i was counting too much on G'Rat'Double.
All those things must be remind.
On the otherhand, KFoged got unlucky in the first half ( as i was on the second), he didn't played a great match, but his elfs were good enough to made his match easy.
I will keep this replay a long time as a example of what happens when you face a very good team in a huge tournament against a very good coach.
I hope those Nandos will write again their name on the Fumbbl Cup. ”
“Skavens is allways hard to play against and with Morly on my Star Dragon (AG5 leap strip ball) and I’m the greatest on the old thrower and a ag5 blodger guard lino it just got harder. Morly worked every drive beside the first one and it was hard to control 3 good gutters with only one tackle player.
I started out kicking in first half the Skavens played less aggressive than I had expected the first many turns with out getting any gutters in scoring position just hitting with a nasty Storm Vermin and an ugly Rat ogre. First two turns he made two SI, first a niggling on a +ag dodge lino and then mng on my blodger ss +st lino (apo used going to need him next game). Later I first got 2+ dodge to get 1d block on block less thrower (rr used on dodge) and skull on the block and next turn it was 1d on the same thrower, skull, rr, skull… Then the Skavens scores and I got 3 turns left to get the 1-1 td. First turn don’t go so well but no pressure on the thrower so can stall one turn more, the 7 turn ended up with snake eye dodge and mng to a blodger ss nos lion. Last turn I get a lion down in endzone but my thrower decided to snake eye a gfi and gets ko’ed.
Next half goes okay and I score to 1-1 after a 3+ catch. Then Nuffle mood seems to chance for the next turns after that ugly last turns of first half. First the Skavens get two times double skulls with out protecting the thrower (who got the ball) and I can blitz him down with 2d and score to 2-1. Then on the kick off I get blitz and use it rather poor and not the best kick for it. But the Skavens use they rr on a push block before even moving the ball to safety and later the turn a gutter misses a +2 catch and with out any trouble the score is suddenly 3-1 to the Nandorins. With 3 turns left the Skavens try to one turn it but misses and then the game was safe. Now the Nandorins have taking 2/5/1 in cas (not easy to play with when you also get inj from ageing) and next game is going to be a hard one with some orcs :)
Not my best game, but at the other hand hard to do much different
Thanks for the game Panda_ and good luck in the next majors!  ”
