“Well, something odd's happening with the replay feature ... it seems to be showing me game 1442818 when I request game 1442820. Odd. Anyway, if you click the replay then you get to watch chaos dwarves face off, which is probably more edifying than anything I do anyway.
It was a fun game. Grim played his halflings as quite the scrappers. There were definitely many cries of "Halfling power!" and "For FRODO!" and the like. I totally got into it, too. It's very cool to see them gang up together to take down an ogre.
But, long-term, they just can't survive constant contact with this many big bashers. At AV6, no matter how hard they try to stay on the field, enough face-plants is going to end up with them on the sidelines. Both halves I just did the boring "Bash everything 'dat moves" strategy until there weren't enough halflings left on the field to stop my (often incompetent) ball-carriers.
Treemen are -rockin- for clearing the line of scrimmage, but shortly after that they become just ... trees. At one point the two treemen (one rooted, one nearby) played volleyball with one of my ogres ... smacking him back and forth, back and forth. That was awesome.”
