“This was a fun match. However, I really need to learn two things:
1. Stalling a few turns when you have the upper hand against a bashing team is a GOOD idea. I could have beaten him up for 3 turns using my superior guard and position in the first half. Instead I scored and gave him 3 turns of bashing me, enough to niggle (apo'd) a black orc.
2. Sometimes stout defense is to the detriment of the team. I put a player in a potential crowd push position in order to slow his offense such that the next turn I might have an [unlikely] route to the ball carrier. The result was my +AG/tackle blitzer getting niggled. Idiocy.
Plus if my defense was less enthusiastic, he might score after 4 or 5 turns, giving me opportunity to win the match.
I did sort of get a bit nuffled in the second half. All my bashing [vs av8/av9] resulted in not too much other than a magical death. He was stunning, KOing, and seriously injuring my [av9] players off the park when he got his turn at bashing me about.
I gotta start learning from this kind of experience!”
