Pandor Wastelanders 2 – 0 Gedernes Beskyttelse
Because of the weather forecast for Sunday evening (flood in the wastelands due to persisting rain) the match was played two days earlier. The forecasters did a good job as the whole match was played in pouring rain. Still 67.000 fans showed up and cheered for the two chaos teams. Both teams had played one match in the series yet. The Wastelanders had won their debut while the Beskyttelse reached a draw against some vampires. The Beskyttelse won the coin toss and decided to receive. The kick dropped in the middle of the pitch and the struggle for the Beskyttelse begun. The weather conditions made it almost impossible to handle the ball. Both teams skipped their pass chances throughout the whole match, mostly they didn’t even try them. It became an ugly brawl in the middle of the pitch. No real damage was done in the process. Finally Babirusa Booze was able to pick up the ball, run through the defense and walk in for the late score right before tea time – TOUCHDOWN!
Second half began while it was still raining cats and dogs. Mole Fnord secured the ball secured by the rest of the Wastelanders who pushed one opponent to the crowd and fouled another one. Again no damage was dealt to the players. Fnord found a hole in the defense formation and sprinted towards the endzone – TOUCHDOWN! A comfortable 2-0 lead for the Wastelanders with only a few turns left. Beskyttelse tried everything to score a touchdown (including badly hurting a Wastelander) but as shown in the last match and the first half the Wastelanders defense stood firm and stopped the offense again. A last second pass failed its target and the final whistle was blown.
Players of the match:
Wastelanders: Babirusa Booze for scoring the lead in half one and some serious blocking actions
Beskyttelse: Dværg for badly hurting a Wastelander
Post match events:
Mole Fnord is on an amazing way to become a real star player. One of his hoofs grew into a claw. Beware!
Sycophant Bozo was immediately retired after the match and got replaced by Driman Nigurn.
Comment from Dr. Franken Steen: “Nothing to do yet, easy cash for me!” ”
