“A Sad Day for the Woodies Double Double. A clinical 4-1 victory will be forgotten admist the grief sorrunding the Death of 2 WDD Stars. No 2 players have had more influnce on the success of the Woodies than Tip Rat and Drummo the Bummo. Both were in their prime and no one will ever know how good they could have become.
Tip Rat was suffering bouts of dissiness following a head clash during training and it is teatsmount to his commitment to the team that he played at all. This probably lead to his demise as he was caught unawares in back play whilst the rest of the WDDs were running in a TD. All by himself Tip Rat was cornered and Gang fouled by Jr of Jr.
The Fans of Wood showed their displeasure by storming the field and attacking both teams.
Drummo's Death was due to freak accident. One of he ground cleaners who had come on to clean up the mess from the pitch invasion had left his rake lying face up in the middle of the pitch. As Drummo was just about to take off on another Mazzy run he tripped on the afore mentioned Garden Tool and the rest is histroy.
New Player Coach Dammo was interviewed after the game about the dramas during his first game in charge.
