The entire first half and much of the second, my opponent was rolling 1d POW left and right, resulting in many stunned and ko'd lizards. We couldn't stop him, only slow him down a tad to keep the score 1-1 at the half. His second half drive begins the same way his first half ended, and I'm thinking a slow, steady elven score for the win.

But then it happened...

Skull...

RR...

SKULL!!! (KO blodge blitzer, but that's of secondary importance to the fact his turn ended without him clicking "turn"!)

Since he was so bunched up all together by the sidelines, my saurii had great fun in pushing his elves systematically out of bounds, including the ballboy. Skink scoops up the ball, DT skinks actually do their job for a change and stop some dodging elves from escaping, bulldozer saurii continue their pushing...and the elves roll nothing but skulls the rest of the game. Guess he used up his allottment of luck early on, though a small measure remained...he only suffered 2 ko and several stuns from all the pushing and shoving.

Just to keep me from feeling too happy about the win, Nuffle rolled a 1 on cash income. But that's not gonna stop me from feeling happy...for the first time in team history, we have 12 active players for the start of next game!!!! (Likely won't last, but hey, for that one glorious moment before the opening kickoff, I'll see 11 on the pitch and one sitting in the dugout reserve...ahh, can't wait!)

Much as Eagle said, my luck in the first half was phenomenal.

Sadly, it didn't repeat after turn 3 of the second half.

The second half began with a rather talented skink beaning my guard lineman in the swelled, pointy-eared melon. Another side effect of playing in Lustria on the Lizardmens' home turf. If not for the apothecary, the fella would be dead. Hopefully Eagle had the sense to recruit the stone-thrower.

I played carelessly and got myself bunched against the sideline, without the benefit of an outlet receiver behind my main forward-moving scrum.

Poor placement, with my guard lineman -- thanks to the earlier well-aimed rock -- out of position, combined with an onslaught of 4ST saurii blasting me into the stands...

Well, I lost, adding another tick to my extensive loss column. But, rolled well on winnings and have another Blocking lineman.
