“A much delayed start to the game due to the fact that the troupe did not manage to find the pitch. When the action finally got underway the Orcs received the ball for the opening drive, well nearly - a massive blitz saw the troupe rush up the pitch and catch their own kickoff, the game proceeded to move slowly, very slowly and repeatedly it looked as though one or another of the troupe would carry off the early score. Orcs proceeded to punish the humans. They firstly killed Der Burkhardt, he was subsequently revived by the ever efficient apo, only to see him beaten up once again. It took until the last turns for the SciFi's to move up the pitch and a wonderfully weighted pass a tough shrug to fend off a flying block saw Bayta score the opening TD.
The Carnival got the ball back but only for a miniature play.
The second half started with a nice set of double skulls for Ludger LIghtfoot! Nevertheless the troupe saw their chance when a dodging Maller Hallow fell leaving the Southern edge of the pitch open. Igancio raced back for the ball, threw it up pitch to Heinrich who was off to the races. Scoring the TD on turn 3. The orcs still had plenty of time on the clock though and started a punishing drive up the Northern edge of the pitch. It looked all set for a late Orc rushing TD when they got over excited leaving Fran open for a block by Walter - he pummeled him to the ground and then a bit of incredible skill or Nuffleitis was seen.
Heinrich the Elusive proved just that,he jumped up, he dodged away from both Ragun & Maller Hallow, he then rushed to the ball grabbed despite hassle from Toran and dodged away from him. He then survived the onslaught from Trantor. Not only that but then he dodged away from said Trantor, Anacreonte and Fran and rushed up the field like a man possessed. Only Hari Seldon could get him now. But the BOB only managed a push, one last dodge and he was in the endzone.
The SciFi orcs could only watch in dismay as their sure win slipped away. Amazing Nuffle-Power had overcome Heinrich when he scored. The next game will be tough as the troupe wil miss their thrower Ignacio Illuminus.”
