“Middenheim Challenge 11/6
----------------------------------------
Some luck seemed to remain after the match against Rampant Rabbits, and what looked like a 2 turn TD for the Green Graves turned around to a huge boost by two critical events. The Gitz managed to punch out the str 4 wight compo very early in the match, and the ghoul ball carrier stumbled and fell on the end zone line, left stunned in the grass.
The Gitz managed a stand off during the remainder of the first half, where they achieved several KO's and some casualties. The cost was a BH'd black orc blocker and a KO that recovered.
This meant that the Gitz could start second half recieving the kickoff and with more players on the pitch, and the greenskins managed well with sealing off the lethal mummies and and outbashing the rest of the opponents. Green Grave scored a SI on one of the blitzers, but the apo took care of it.
I had luck on my side again and could manage a fairly easy stall in the final turns, to run the ball in on turn 8. Not the most crowd pleasing match, but it is a tournament and the Gothenburg Gitz are craving for success after having failed in the last two Middenheim Challenge attempts.
Spared from injuries and with some money in the bank the Gitz will now wait for the outcome of the match between Lords of Tenapir or the Hooz Laffin at Uz orcs before the final tactics are decided.
Lobb, the matchs only scorer and the most clever player in the team, gave his point of view to the reporters. "Me be hopin for a bloody 'un...we dun care if weez be facin greenskins or dead 'uns in da next battle...da Gitz will beat dem eiver way!"”
