“Middenheim Challenge 11/06

The Gothenburg Gitz steams on in the Middenheim Challenge, and the last obstacle before the final were the numerous but rather unskilled Lords of Tenapir, coached by the experienced Melmoth. They had also smuggled in some vile, necromantic potion that beefed up the ghoul Ulurpus to an excellent blitzer.

I was rather hopeful though, because the opponents seemed to rely more on speed than bashing and I had an orc team filled with able tacklers. For an undead team they were extremly dodgy though, and I feared that it would be the end of me. (Melmoth awarded me a bright red strawberry lollipop for pointing out how succesful his dodgers were, hehe)

Slowly the Gitz tore down their opponents though. Ulurpus was sent off (ironically with a -str cripple), and several key players were put in the KO box. The match was brought to overtime, and there the Gitz were recievers. After having fumbled a couple of turns the fast running thrower Lobb da Clever ran up, passed the ball to Smirk da Exakutiona, whould could run it in. Since OT in the Orca-Cola cups are sudden death the match was won, and the Gitz are ready for the final!”
