“As my opponent said(I think), this was always going to be a tough game for the Elves.
So no chances were taken, or at least I tried not to take any.
It was a nice patience walk down the park to get my first score, and then make sure that there was plenty of cover backfield, having played against Elves before, and so ended the first half.
The second half started with the Elves having the ball, so yet again I tried to keep it very tight at the back, and then hopefully get in for a turnover which thankfully happen. Then the fun really started, 1 dice blocks galore from the plucky Elves knocking my guys down, but I managed somehow to work the ball out, and finally get the second score.
I still haven't worked out what the Elf said, but the game was well played and I'm just glad that I wasn't up against 10 or 11 Elves.
I'll just have to put tadgoraucymru down as a very good, and patience player, and I'll look forward to a rematch anytime. ”
“It was always going to be a tough game for the Cambrian Wood Elves.
The Coach chose to start the game with 8 and with money in the bank it seemed an odd decision.
The numbers proved telling and the fragile woodies soon found themselves playing with 7 then 6. By the time Rushden scored their first try Ynys Gwyn had 4 mobile players, Gwerddwallt having taken root.
The result never seemed in doubt as the elves couldn't find or make space to play.
Captian Rhodri Glaswellt said after the came "Dewisodd y Boss y chwarae gyda 8 a roedd e'n arnodd."
"Mae tymor wedi bod tyff a 'dy ni ddimm yn wedi cael lot o luc. Ar ol y gem cyntaf, mae e'n wedi bod arnodd i gwella. Ond gyda chwaraeon neudd 'dy ni credu byddwn ni yn position da nawr." ”
