“Royal Rookie Rumble XLIX FINAL

My first RRR, and my lovely N'orks made it to the final, where we had the honour of facing tournament organiser Flix in a game that truly had everything.
Last minute drama!

The horrible fiery death of PeteW!!!

Things started badly for the greenskins, the apo used to relieve Lolo's niggling injury, and a blitz leaving them unprepared and two bullcentaurs threatening the ball... but blodge av8 blitzer Angelina kept her head, pushed one away and picked up, only to be brought down by a dwarf. Luckily thrower Sam was able to get the ball clear and pass to the centre, where a bit of a ruck developed - a combination of tough blocking bulls and dwards, and a dirty hobbo, reducing the orc numbers steadily. Indeed when a boot put Sam into the SI box things looked very bad. However, with what looked like a chance to clear the field, the CDs took their eye off the ball, and Angelina dodged through to grab it. Nobody could bring her down - one up after six turns.
Then probably the deciding moment, as without their kicker, the orcs managed to pick out a rookie bullcentaur with the ball. Some nice blocking from Flix cleared the defenders away and it was all even.
Could the depleted orcs pull off a surprise? Well it didn't look like it, even with get the ref, as a touchback gave a centaur the ball again, and the other CDs laid into the N'orks. But, the ref was definitely cowed, sending off the second hobbo DP, while the N'ork boots were leaving their mark. Then, a beautiful fireball laid waste to the CD cage, allowing who but Angelina to pick up and get out of range of any tacklers. Maybe a lucky win could happen? Sadly not, Hthark himself took a hand, knocking the orc down and nonchalantly picking up the ball. There was of course no stopping him scoring, but still... would the KO'd goblin wake up for a last TTM attempt? Nope, game over. Still, it was worth it for this :
