“145 KO Shield x Final
This match I was apprehensive about as I was playing hard 145 veterans unter Tage. On many occasions the dwarfs have been denied so this game was a chance to final show their colours. For the Tenpole Mong rats a freebooter gutter runner was hired to make up numbers.
The dwarfs received the first kick off. On my first turn I clicked move instead of blitz for my gutter runner so the two GR I slipped through to surround the dwarf runner with the ball had to be content with exerting their tackle zones over the short one. The gutter runners were able to keep the ball carrier where he was till reinforcements were able to arrive.
The dwarf runner was then blitz the ball snatched but the GR was triped jumping back out of a tackle zone, unlucky. The dwarf team picked up the ball and moved close to the centre line.
When the dwarf runner was on the side line being forced back Apprentice took the oppertunity to sending him crowd surfing for a SI and a drop in Av. Ha his armour wil still be higher than the skaven.
The ball was knocked down the pitch but my gutter runner Dm could not pick the ball up. The dwarfs surrounded. I knock a dwarf prone on to the ball but it bounced to a Skaven linesmen, he tried to throw but failed. Howver the first half was over and I had prvented the dwarf team from scoring. I only had two BH injuries.
My turn to receive. Kick off result blitz. As it goes this proved to my advantage as the dwarf player broke his line. My thrower picked up the ball guarded by two skaven. Warpluzzer dis get blitz but the gr were ablt to pick up the ball and carry it forward. Now protected by the stormvermin Smeague was able to advance forward surrounded by skaven till a route was free.
When freed the Skaven out paced the short legged dwarfs and were able to stall the game making sure the dwarf team had little time to equalize.I crossed in turn 6 giving the dwarfs two turns to score. No chance for those stunty legs. Game win Tenpole Mong Rats”
