“Well, the first SFL game is in the books...
DAILY SHOW 1 DITTY BOPS 0
Praosmchai's Fairies kicked off, and were not too optimistic of their chances after their coach discovered, mid-game, that their outfield was all strength 1! However, despite a strong Gobbos run, a blinding sideline blitz by Leprechaun Riley sent the ball flying into the Fairy contingent of the crowd - where it was promptly hurled towards the Gobbo endzone!
From here it was a footrace all the way, and only a deft Gobbo tackle prevented Riley's teeammate Buster from making the score at the end of the half.
In the second half the Fairies had the ball, and set up a nice cage - somewhat unorthodox for them! However, their Treeladies really let the side down and took root at the halfway line! A few brave Fairies tried to run the ball to the opposite flank and head for the endzone, but they were caught and blocked out of possesion.
From here, the Goboos rallied and, due to the rooted Treeladies, outnumbered their Fairy opposition and ran the ball down for a last-second winning touchdown.
Fairy notes: cracking Fairies performance, those Treeladies will have to work hard through the week to convince coach Prasomchai of their worth! He's thinking of fielding 2 next time in favor of a mobile thrid player.
Golbins: a sound performance, though the Trolls, like most dumb creatures, were very unrealiable. Will they make the starting line-up in the next game?
Final note: EVERYBODY survived!!!”
