Before game thought this was lost case without early casualties.
With one early cas it turned out to be pretty tight game where my plan
to get it to overtime would have prolly worked without my own stupidity
to not look what I was doin'.

Well deserved win for Enorma Divor.

The ref put the whistle in his mouth and gave the well known signal. Everybody was excited and there was a sense of tension in the air. The elven coach had a good feeling about this game as rain started pouring from the heavens just in time for the first block to be thrown. But only just then did that good feeling turn into something horrific. Zico V had gone down on the very first turn and failed his armor. He would not return for the remainder of the game. What a start.

There were now 4 weak elves against 5 ultra strong lizards. The coach cried out as loud as he could to his players demanding them not to go to close quarters with the lizardmen. Stay out of trouble until they get the ball. If they don't get the ball then STAY OUT OF TROUBLE! His team obeyed and tried to stay clear but that big lizard with its sweeping tail came close over and over again and although Puskas had AG6 it did not help. He was bound to fall whenever he dodged that tail. Three times did he fall when the coach realized there was nothing to do but to sit and wait forthe lizards to score. Nothing worked for the elven fighters. Their coach started tearing his hair in frustration. What to do? He did what every high elf does in this situation. He started crying.

But suddenly there was a whistle. A tiny, almost not recognisable tone of salvation. The ref had declared it halftime and the elves had, against all odds, survived the first half . Now they got to recieve the ball and trust their speed and agility. Could they turn the tide.

A good kick from the lizards was followed by the elves running upfield. With their eyes closed they ran for their lives as far as they could. Their thrower held the ball firmly in the rain that still fell from the sky. The lizards sent ther giant lizard sweeping across the field and it ended up guarding two important players that were needed to score. The thrower did a succesfull pass to Puskas who was standing in the shadow of that big lizard and its irritating tail. The coach knew Puskas would fail his dodge, even with his AG6. He had done it three times already in this game. So with a clear order he cried to Maradona II to sacrifice himself for the team. Maradona II rose to his feet and as he closed his eyes he lashed out with his arm against the kroxigor. The crowed erupted in extacy as they saw what was about to happen. Everybody expected the brave/stupid elf to die. Instead they saw how the krox was so surprised by the attack he had to take a step back. The crowd saw the opening that appeared and so did Puskas. He seized the opportunity and ran threw the compact defense the lizards had put up. 1-0.

Now the elves felt alot safer. They were in the lead and the rain kept on coming down. They were still four guys who could cause alot of trouble in their defense. But the kick-off was not good. The ball landed up midfield giving the lizards a shorter path to score if they got hold of the ball. And to pour more salt into the wounds the elven thrower was knocked out by a deadly blow from Brother of God of Zilla. Now they were only three players left to defend and the lizards had 6 turns to score. It all looked dark. But first the lizards had to pick up the ball and that did not work. The elves backed home trying to strengthen their 3-man defense but instead it was turned to a 2-man when Maradona II was stunned by that famous tail. The lizards advanced upfield trying to get rid of the elves. A few turns later and the ball was still lying on the ground. Now all the elves did not need to do was to roll some double 1s and they could easily score 2-0. But they did. And then directly after the lizards PICKED up the ball and started moving to the elven end zone. With their main blitzer Figo stunned and the other guys way off the equalizer looked as good as gold. But then the krox got confused and wondered where the ball went. Figo slipped through and assisted Puskas who blitzed and failed to knock down the lizard with the ball. He also failed his dodge when he got orders from the coach to stand in a better defensive position. Now the TD looked as secured as Fort Knox. Instead the lizard coach ordered his men to stall and score in their last turn. This gave the elves their final chance to win the game. It would be a longshot but it would be worth it. Figo leaped over his opponents and stripped the ball clear. Now Maradona II would just do one lousy GFI to get the ball and throw it to kingdom come. He failed his GFI and the re-roll showed another (1). Maradona II fell and the lizards got one final chance to score 1-1. They cleared the path to the ball and everybodys eyes stared upon it.

Stinkusaurus Rex ran up to the ball and got the order from his coach. Pick it up and tie the game for overtime. Stinkusaurus bent down and got his clumsy fingers around the ball. He GOT it! He was holding the ball. But the rain had made it slippery and he dropped it. Everything worked in slow motion as Stinkusaurus tried to catch the ball before it touched the ground. He was not fast enough and as soon as it landed the ref blew the final whistle. The elves had won the day! They had won the 5-star Bowl VII. Hooray!

They had gone from the lowest division to the very top in only 22 games. An incredible effort. Now they can retire and look back at what they accomplished.
