“Game opens with a touchback being given to a black orc, followed by two BH cd blockers in the first turn. Two more cas before the half is over, along with a few ko's, and we had our way to start the match.
The cd's employed a fast-pass attack with their bulls, whose speed I simply couldn't match, score 1-1 just into the second half.
Here's where I almost botched it completely...I have the ball behind a line of screeners, I want my rookie to score for his skill. I feel safe in handing it off to him, but he drops it...and so does the next guy...and the next...eventually after all the bouncing, it's sitting on the OTHER side of my screener line in the middle of the cd's!!! His bull starts racing for the endzone, waving frantically for the ball, but alas, his surehanded hobgob couldn't scoop it up.
Much pushing and shoving commences, neither side really gaining the advantage, until finally my agi4 blitzer says enough is enough, scoops up the ball in traffic, and it's off to the races. Eventually my rookie does indeed get the ball to score, and he's so pumped he increases his strength with all his adrenalin. Unfortunately, he also popped his shoulder doing too many bench presses, and the docs fear it'll haunt him the rest of his career. (Ain't it lovely to roll double-6 skill at 6 spp, only to also roll double-1 on aging?)”
