Well this was a game of two halves if there ever was one...

In the first, GnomeMadder unleashed absolute bedlam on the Bops, with bombs exploding the whole field over and the Treeladies spending most of the time struggling to get to their feet - only to be sent crashing to the ground again! Their teammates had to join in fighting fires that threatened to send them to the lumber yard!

As the half drew to a close, only a last ditch diving tackle by the deep cover prevented a score after some bold Gnome play downfield.

However, intervention by the officials meant that almost the entire Gnome squad was ejected prior to the following kick off -leaving little defense to cover the extremely fast Fairies, who made two comfortable scores in the second.

Coach Prasomchai commented that, "It wasn't a great surprise that they were all sent off, given the fireworks display they put on in the first half! Having spent my entire half-time team talk on the subject of bombs, I was both happy and disappointed to see them missing in the second. Oh well, I can try out my anti-bomb offense in our next meeting."

Fans remarked that the officials spoilt the game by ejecting the 'flair' players, and are petitioning for a rules change as we speak...
