“My opponants persistance in breaking into my cage was very annoying for my lizards! Combine that with a worse than useless Krox getting me into trouble throughout the game and you get a very tight match....
Second half i perhaps shifted my cage too early, but it seemed safer than leaving it where it was after id recoverd from the bonheaded krox 1st turn leaving my cage messed up.
The Elves managed to knock off one corner of the cage and get a sidestepper next to the ball carrier. I blitzed with a tackler (rerolled) got both down both times when all i really needed was some sort of pushback result. I missed a chance to crowdpush the sidestepper out of the way with a misplaced skink... then my krox knocked himself over doing a 3DB as i tried to manufacture a different crowdpush.
Needless to say the blodger got my ball carrier down next turn.. and elves being elve...s they snuffled the ball away and passed it out of blitz range for the score.
I was less than certain i would make the touchdown after kickoff to rescue a draw but the dice were kind and i made it in 2 turns.
Overall a gg with Russo making good use of his players skills to offset my obvious strength advantage.”

At half time I was certain that defeat was staring me in the face, as Grit's Lizards were going to repeat their first half cage grinding down field to leave me with no time to equalise....
Instead a risky move by my opponent let me into the cage and I got the ball away to retake the lead..knowing that I would probably concede a second TD straight after. At half time I would have taken the draw and probably half somebodie's hand if they had offered it to me.
A tough uncomprimising game where the last ditch tackles by the High ELves were just enough for them to hang on in for the draw against a polished side.”
