“The Cheerful Dead pirate crew faced off against a team of dark elf criminals...it was sure to be a bloody match, and the gods of fate didn't let the audience down.
Kourans Blade got the kickoff and set off in an amazing pace, bashing their way through the opponents. Wolly Woga got KO'd early and didn't recover, and zombies went flying out of their way...but suddenly they grinded to a halt. The dark elves must have offended some higher power, because the game turned in an amazing way and the dark elves game spiralled downwards when they suddenly missed every other dodge or generally just lost the marginals.
The Cheerful Undeads recovered the ball and were very close to completing a TD in the final turns of the first half, but a dark elf blitzer with tackle managed to uphold the ghoul ball carrier long enough for the half time whistle to blow.
Despite severe bad luck things looked even at the beginning of the 2nd half, with one dark elf badly injures and one wight KO'd. Things would turn even more for the worse for Korouns Blade though...
While the undead flesh cage was forming the dark elves threw themselves at the zombie ranks, and I still can't figure out how they managed to stay so much in the way despite being so outlucked. When they fouled out a mummy and shortly after also managed to KO the remaining one I lost hope in achieving a victory, but a couple of failed dodges from the opposition allowed Buck Aneer to run the ball over the line.
The dark elves now had a chance for a quick 2 turn TD, but once again luck failed them. It started to rain, disrupting the ball handing of the elves, and the carrier fumbled a hand over right by the undead LOS. I was just about to write to Th0r that he could at least take comfort in that he had suffered no crippling injuries when Captain Rot O'hoy, recovered from the earlier KO and anctious for revenge, tore the opponents dirty player to pieces. The tragedy was complete and after being subjected to regular dice rapes myself I felt genuinely sorry for Th0r.
The match ended with a 1-0 victory for the Cheerful Deads, and things look positive for the undead pirate crew. The money lasted to a new reroll, I skilled up 3 players and Calaeno has joined the ranks of merry men...and will perhaps be developed to a dp even in my ranks.
Sorry for the torture, Th0r. I wish you better luck in your next match...it sure as hell won't be able to get worse!”
