“ The Marauders got to kickoff, and the Bearders grabbed the ball. The dwarves started out with a solid attempt at wearing the Norsemen down through a solid amount of blocks, but the norsemen took the pummeling with little complaint and would rise again to continue the game. Lack of experience saw Marauder blitzers dealing frenzied blocks against superior opposition, but luck seemed to follow the foolhardy, and by the end of the first half the Norsemen had fought their way to their touchdown.
In the second half the Norsemen attempted to overwhelm the dwarven defensive line, but the dwarves held fast and began pushing the Marauder line back. As the Marauder line disintegrated they made a passing play to circumvent the dwarven flank, but poor ball handling resulted in the game ending with a brawl where neither team could get a secure grip on the ball.
All in all, a game won more by luck and guts than any skill, yet a game where a good atmosphere encompassed the blood bowl arena. Punches were thrown honestly and hard, in the best spirit of the game.”
