“It was with re-newed hope that the Sithi entered the Bloodbowl arena once again. This time there opponents were not one of there bretheren but the vile Undead, a team of corpses and rotting flesh animated by powerful magics.
Once again the Sithi found themselves recieveing the first kick off. Unlike the previous games though the Sithi were able to maintain control of the ball early on, that was until when making a break down the right wing the undead were able to move with a dexterity unnatural to the Undead. One turn from scoring and the Undead were able to knock the ball from the Sithi's grasp. The unnatural skill then continued seeing a long pass being thrown to another of the Undead team who deftly caught the pass and simply proceeded into the end zone. The Sithi were left dumd struck and the Undead were left with a 1 - nil lead. The half wasnt even close to being over.
The Sithi once again recieved the kick off. This time it seemed that trends were to continue as the Sithi once again fumlbed simple ball. The Undead were able to capitalise, but due to the lack of turns left and some desperate defense by the Sithi the Undead were unable to score before the half was over, but they were able to KO' 3 of the Sithi and bring with them a man advantage into the second half.
The second half saw the Sithi kick off, they knew they were in for a hard game to come back from. The kick off skewed horribly, almost resulting in a touchback except for the uncanny ability of one of the Undead plyers to pluck up the bouncing ball. It seemed the god's were having fun with the Sithi. Early in the second half the Sithi were able to knock the ball from the Undeads hands, some skillful dodging, reminiscient of what Wood Elves are meant to be capable of, enable the Sithi to get into position to recover the ball. A mid range pass though saw the Sithi unable to catch the easy pass, the ball bouncing loose. The undead then continued there advance, more Sithi were knocked prone and the Undead moved into recover the ball, finally the Undead fumbled, the ball spilled loose and right into the path of the Sithi. The line was clear, the ball in the open, all that was needed was a simple pick up by the Sithi and ... it was not to be ... surely the gods had to be smiling upon the Undead, or perhaps the Sithi were truly cursed. With the ball spilled loose once again, the Undead were able to easily recover the ball ad start to move it down the wing towards there goal line. The casualities for the Sithi began to pile up, until during 1 block an Undead player caused as much injury to himself as the Sithi he blocked, the injury was serious enough to see the Undead remoed to the BH box, the first casualty caused by the Sithi in 3 games !!!. The Sithi were able to manage late in the game to knock the ball loose once again, unfortunatley they could not capitalise upon the lose ball, and the undead were once again simply able to scoop it up and continue on there advance. Finally the score was made and the Undead went to a 2 - nil lead. With 2 turns left the Sithi had a glimpse of hope to score at least 1 TD, but onec again the lack of luck upon the Sithi's side saw then fumble a simple short pass and destroy any chance they had of scoring, however remote. To add salt into the wound the last turn of the Undead saw one of the mummy's impact a terrible blow upon one of the happless Sithi, Vindaomeyo was taken from the feild to be returned to the earth, none of the Sithi appeared surprised by the turns of events, seemingly resigned to their fate as it seemed.
The Sithi walked from the feild, heads held low, something had gone wrong, perhaps they had mis-read the signs that fortold this time as the time for there coming. What ever had gone wrong it was certain the gods had departed the Sithi, they seemed destined to not win a game, the gods seemingly had taken care of that. ”
