“This game was played during the FUMBBL 3rd birthday with random mutations :)
Very long legs on Friar Tuck with Guard proved quite useful. However what this game will be remember for (or repressed?) is the many bad rolls throughout the game. on first half it was for both sides, but during 2nd half it was more notable for From the Gutter, with 4 1's a row the last turns on failed pickups. There's plenty of occassions where both sides would have scored, or stopped a TD if it wasn't for some very unlucky rolls when they were needed the most.
Gilbert who had Bone Head, had his share of it too, two turns a row (even using RR on the last one) tried to blitz a catcher to make a TD and the Bone Head kicked in.
What might have decided the game however, was that Sherwood Forest On March got a Blitz on the first kick off, allowing them to quickly grab the ball and score on turn 1. After that they got 3 Perfect Defences in a row! This made it very hard for poor From the Gutter to get through with their Gutter Runners, you simply just don't run past Little John that easily! Something Vomit Pukehead got to experience the hard way, with plenty of failed dauntless rolls (I don't think he ever succeeded in one?). And since he had not learned Block yet, it caused at least two early turnovers.
All in all it was probably not a very fun match for Cribbleobblepie, especially as his team failed a lot of rolls in the late 2nd half. For Sherwood Forest On March it was a bigger success, particularly for the well-needed winnings afterwards, and that Robin Hood managed to get his first skill.”
