“I started the game with som hope for winning. It would have been my only theoretical chance to get to the playoffs if I won all my last games (optimistic!?! hehe). Well I knew this one was going to be tough since I don't know how to play against elves (don't know what teams I really CAN play against!...). "Bashing and caging" I thought was the answer.

Well bash with AV7 against AV8! :) My cages were quite lame too... The bashing worked at times and at one point a little TOO well: Indy Bolts had just stripped the ball from me and were about to score. Hittavainen failed in knocking down Reggie Paine, who was carrying the ball. The td was coming and there was no way I could prevent it anymore. I think I thought I'd try to put pressure on the ball and get one or two of the elves knocked out for next kick off. But something ugly happened. Ok, I know this is Blood Bowl but still. This wasn't what I went after.

I got Piling on for my blitzer Väinämöinen a couple of games before. I had never used it and I saw that he was able to make a block so I decided to try it out. I took the skill to knock out higher armoured bashing guys, not to hurt elves, but here I am. I clicked on the skill. Then I wanted to undo that by clicking again. Nothing happened. I would have had one played that I hadn't moved so I could have chosen him and then Väinämöinen again to choose not to use the skill. THAT I thought of AFTER I made the move... Too late. It was just a lucky shot that had an awful effect. And just a second earlier we were talking about how we both dislike unnecessary fouling etc. I felt, and I still feel, very stupid.

I felt so bad that I had to carve out Väinämöinens left testicle to punish him. Don't know how he feels about meeting the girls in the next game.

This accident distracted the rest of the game at least for me. The bolts made two very nice TD's and I also got one after several turns of bashing. I was one succesful GFI roll away from TD at the end of 1st half that could have made the rest of the game different.

After Indy Bolt's second TD 3 norse players suffered from the heat and were out of the pitch. That was a good thing for the elves as they would have otherwise had less men on the field. That might have caused an extra delay on my attacking and striving for my first TD. On turn 6 I had a chance but missed my quick pass and I had to wait one more round for the TD. Not even theoretical chances of scoring in one turn. Even 2 had been hard.

So with some luck in the right situations I think could have got a draw. Maybe. Or if I had had a better tactic! :)”
