“Nuffle was playing some nasty tricks today, particularly on my opponent. Some nasty casualty and knockout rolls, combined with a failed apoth for my opponent, gave me an early player advantage, allowing me to score in the first half in leisurely fashion. In the second half, he took the ball into my end before I blitzed it free. There ensued four turns of a mad scramble for the ball, which was held variously by a troll and about three different sauruses. I knocked it free a few different times and it would ricochet and be caught by a new saurus each time.
Near the end of the game I badly hurt a saurus on a blitz, unfortunately a bug arose where the client told me it was waiting for my opponent's apoth, which he had already used, while my opponent got no such message. We had to reload, which took a while, and when we came back, nuffle was madder than ever. This time, I couldn't get the ball free, and he blitzed his saurus clear and niggled my blitzer. My fingers produced various curses but my poor opponent is the one who had a talented saurus die on a random block on my turn 8. I wasn't in a position to get the ball loose, and all my opponent had to do to tie was make a successful blitz on two dice, and instead he double skulled it. He loses the game and two experienced players. I wish coach redbeard better luck in the future--He deserves it.”
