I think the luck values shown there are a little exaggerated, but I won't deny that I won this game because I got the breaks when they counted. Glimmervoid played well, but his MB wouldn't remove my players, while I was able to grind him down for the second half to score the winner.
First few drives, we each scored with relative ease and the DPs seemed inept, causing at most KO's that came back at the first chance they had. Glimmervoid should have been up 2-1 because I boggled a misclick on my defense giving him basically an effortless touchdown, but Nuffle decided to give me a mulligan by letting my goblin score the throw teammate score, making it 2-2 at the half.
In the second half, I was able to set up a well positioned cage early and proceeded to grind my way down the field. Neither of our blocks did any damage, but my DP became charmed at this point and I was taking him down by a player per turn and I put in 4-5 turns of unanswered fouling without being kicked. For the last 4 turns, there was no real chance to take down my cage, and I was able to score on turn 8 with ease.
The dice went all my way in the second half, but the first half was super close with a high scoring game for orcs. A few key rolls would have given Glimmervoid the game. Glimmervoid was a great opponent and barely mentioned how badly the dice went my way.”
