“Final of Orcland Wooden Shield 1/07
---------------------------------------------------
I looked forward to taking my second tournament title with this team, meating up with an understrengthened orc team that I had beaten before...but instead I had to endure the biggest dice rape I have ever seen.
My opponent started round 1 with rolling 3 casualties in a row. 2 BH's and a SI on my minotaur that I had to use my apo on. In round 2 he managed to KO the minotaur, and followed up round 3 with a niggling injury on another berserker, all with me failing pretty much everything.
The real goodie was the use of the goblin. In a somewhat legendary move Magnus managed to run his troll up to the goblin, throw in accurately as far as possible and then used 4 3+ dodges and a 4+ dodge to be able to run in a TD, everything achieved without using a single reroll.
I seriously and honestly doubt that Magnus missed even 10 rolls during the entire match, and as far as I can remember he didn't miss a single important roll. Despite meeting a team loaded with the block skill he might actually have achieved a 100 % success sheet for his blocks.
I tried to laugh it off, but I just find it really boring when the final of a tournament gets decided by luck this way. I hope I didn't come across too angry at the end, Magnus.
Congrats to the victory. I'll extract revenge on your team one day and have allready stocked up a dirty player for the possibility of seeing Azhag again :P”
