“Orcs are one of the toughest teams in Blood Bowl. With their high AV, they are going to stay on the pitch longer than everyone else (except for Dwarves). Or so they tell you.
Don't believe it. They go down just as quickly as everyone else. Sometimes even faster, as this match demonstrated...
The first period went pretty well for me. I was defending, but could stop his drive. Then, as the ball lay on the ground, Ubgrond picked it up, dodged out of one opponent's reach, sent a short pass to Wrotsnog, and I was up 1-0 with two turns left.
However, I was already discontent with my team's hitting ability. They had suffered two KOs and a BH, while causing just 1 KO. This was mainly due to the low number of POWs I rolled. But fortunately the KOed players came back at half time, so I was only down to 10 players.
It became much worse in the second half. The Amazons (and their allies) knocked my players down on virtually every block, causing 1 BH, 1 SI and 3 KO. In the end I only won because his amazons failed their pick-up rolls, and because of a fortunate double skull on turn 8.
Nice Try poi66. (*g*) That was as close as it could get...”
