“For veteran fans of this great coaching rivalry, the jinx continued...
In the first half, a wonderful play from the coach thereisaball book opened the score with a rushing play, featuring wide receivers playing screen blockers. Following this, the Sweethearts got their own rushing score, aided by the Ratz'z- who wanted the chance to score again, and thus partially allowed the Sweethearts touchdown! Crafty Ratz'z!
However, thanks to a kick-off blitz, the girls were able to contain the rampant Ratz'z from scoring again and the half-time whistle was sounded.
Next, in the second half, Sakura looked a certainty to score early, but once again, tried to put her passing skills to use and, once again, fumbled! The Ratz'z seized the initiative and recovered the ball, only for the Sweethearts to make a last-ditch tackle and recover the ball themselves, and then go on to score a late winner!
Says coach Prasomchai, 'Deja-vu was at work tonight, which saw an almost carbon copy of our last meeting. Had Sakura not fumbled her pass attempt, we would have scored early and allowed the Rats to score and tie it- we were powerless to stop their monster offense, as proven in the first half.
The jinx is real!'
The superstitious fans await the next encounter, which they maintain coach thereisaball cannot win...whereas the cynical fans maintain the next game will disprove this 'jinx' nonsense...”
