“The easiest way to picture this chaotic match is to imagine two ships sinking at either end of the pitch. In the space between, maddened packs of frantic rats raced backwards and forwards pursuing each other.
My first block of the day KOd my own Rat Ogre, which kind of set the tone for the rest of the game. Mys-ko capitalised well on that first blunder, taking an early lead, but then the sweltering heat took care of all but 5 of his team, and my return touchdown was a walk-in. The Luck-O-Meter reading from this match is misleading, as for the rest of the game mys-ko's hapless rats knocked themselves out, tripped over their own feet and generally ran amok. All credit to mys-ko, he handled this ongoing misery with good grace and humour, perhaps as a result of the fine wine he had on hand to drown his sorrows in...
The Gutter Runners played well for both teams, so well in fact that they have inspired my Rat Ogre! After knocking himself out, he has decided that the life of a basher is not for him. He enjoyed an AG rise after the match, and plans to grow up to be a gutter runner in the future.
