I learned long ago not to place any sentimental value on bloodbowl players. I was very surprised, however, that my team were decimated (with 3 SIs and 2 RIPs) by a bunch of unremarkable dark elves, many of whoom didn't even have block. Despite my opponent's modest comments, most of the injuries came from regular blocks and not fouls. The team has decided to retire and I will be making a similar themed team real soon!

After the first turn's ripped lineman, which i saved with apo, this game looked pretty grim. Opponent had two dirty players, and no false sense of righteousness to prevent their usage.
I on the other hand had the referee on my side for the first half, and it showed in the lack of interest on the ball. With opponent's apo failing to save his star catcher, and couple of RIP's to boot, the game was pretty much over at the beginning of the second half.

Too bad the opposing coach didn't have his humor last to the end of the game. It was hilarious to see those players die.

Splat!
