“Under Sweltering Heat the match started out promising and well balanced, tho' a bad initial block allowed 7th Street to take the kick off and run an option around one flank for a 3 Turn TD, while MWA's chief Blitzer knocked himself out in the process.
On the Turn 4 Kick Off, a combination of the Heat and the lingering KO allowed NWA to field only 4 players to the 7th Street's 6, and altho' they knocked out one more right off 7th Street's remaining 5 swarmed a makeshift 4 man cage and the ball-carrier, followed by a defensive scoop and score.
The 2nd half saw NWA's Blitzer and 7th Street's Lino remain unconscious, and a 6:6 face down despite the heat. NWA took advantage of an over-aggressive defense to make a quick pass and run, with their Ag 2 Blitzer making a clutch catch and moved beyond any effective defense for a 3 turn TD to pull within 1, 2:1, while the rest of the team knocked out a 2nd member of 7th Street.
However, the Heat finally took control of the game, and while the NWA's blodging Blitzer ~still~ remained unconscious along with one 7th Street lino, 3 additional NWA players fell to the sweltering temperature, while all 6 of 7th street were on the field, and that was the game.
Before the Heat settled the issue, it remained completely in doubt, and it's a shame that such random events could cancel out a fine coaching effort. 7th Street looks forward to a rematch, and warns all teams not to judge the NWA Tavern Darts Team by the score of this game!”
